March 2024 Updates
Additional progress and efficiencies are being gained every day through our migration process. In the coming months, we will be able to better estimate when your site will be ready for migration!
What do I need to do to prepare?
You can help yourself and your fellow Drupal users by preparing your site for the migration. Need some guidance? Dave Fels, our manager of Project Management, has put together a short video providing tips to clean up your site before the migration. You can watch that here .
A project manager will contact you directly when your site is ready. You MUST act on that email. This person may not be familiar to you but will assist you in the final steps to ensure your migration is handled smoothly. If you have questions, please reply to this email or reach out to your Client Success Manager directly.
Should I worry about training in the new system?
Yes!
VIDEOS ONLINE: We encourage you to be proactive with the training piece by reviewing our videos online .
WHAT IS DIFFERENT/NEW? Back again is Dave Fels that developed a short video to showcase some of the biggest changes. You can watch that here.
Do I have other options?
I'm glad you asked! CivicPlus offers a few different website products. If you’re like many of our clients you’re always looking for ways to improve any of your day-to-day tasks. Julie Bolton, our Product Owner, and Kaitlin Berry, our Solution Engineer, have a quick video showing how our Web Central platform helps customers solve their website needs compared to our Drupal product, Web Open. You can watch that here.
What is the Drupal Migration?
In case you missed it, 2025, Drupal 7, the core software supporting your current website, will reach the end of its life and support. Our migration process is designed to alleviate the challenges associated with this upgrade, with our primary goal being a seamless and successful transition of your website. Our focus is on ensuring your site retains its expected appearance and resident functionality throughout the migration.
We will be hosting a webinar on June 11th, 2024 that will walk you through the process and provide an opportunity for Q and A. Please feel free to submit any questions you have to us directly by replying to this email. We’ll answer them directly as well as during the webinar!
