Happy February from the Drupal Migration team! As part of our commitment to keeping you informed, this email serves as our monthly update on the ongoing Drupal Migration. February 2024 Updates
We have launched dozens of migration sites on Drupal 10 over the last few weeks! This progress is promising and as we begin to hit full stride, we will be able to better estimate when your site will be ready for migration!
Migration Planning
We know planning for the migration is important to you. We are doing a lot of work behind the scenes to prepare your site for the move.
A project manager will contact you directly when your site is ready. This person may not be familiar to you, but if you have questions please reply to this email or reach out to your Client Success Manager directly.
Should I worry about training in the new system?
Training you on the new system is critical to the success of the migration. While we have designed the latest Drupal platform to be easy to use, some parts will be quite different from your current system.
VIDEOS ONLINE: We encourage you to be proactive with the training piece by reviewing our videos online.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT/NEW?
Additionally, Dave Fels, our Manager of Project Management, has developed a short video to showcase some of the biggest changes. You can watch now here.
What is the Drupal Migration?
In case you missed it, as of January 5, 2025, Drupal 7, the core software supporting your current website, will reach the end of its life and support. Our migration process is designed to alleviate the challenges associated with this upgrade, with our primary goal being a seamless and successful transition of your website. Our focus is on ensuring your site retains its expected appearance and resident functionality throughout the migration.
Keep us up-to-date!
If you are no longer responsible for the website, kindly reply to this email, and your Client Success Manager will guide you through the next steps. For the latest information, we will update the Municipal Websites Open Help Center, where we will keep a log of all customer communications.
