Why is CivicPlus moving customers to Central Starter?
As you know, we have been working to develop a just-right Drupal 10 solution based on the needs and input of our customers and have been in the process of migrating customers from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10 for most of 2024. Over that time, we learned that Drupal 7 will cease to be supported by our secondary hosting partner by November 2025. Also, based on extensive feedback from our customers, Drupal 10 wasn’t the just-right solution we’d aimed to create. Our top priority is now to move our Drupal 7 customers to a website solution that truly meets your needs.
What is Central Starter?
Central Starter is a package of the top 12 modules from our flagship solution, Web Central. For over 20 years customers have been delighted by Web Central and Central Starter has been built to target the needs of our smaller customers. Best yet, once your team is ready to grow you won’t have to learn a new system or retrain staff. Moving from Central Starter to Web Central is simple! When can I move?
CivicPlus has created a plan with all our customers in mind. Our goal is to provide you with a secure website solution, operational continuity, and a migration plan that minimizes impact on your organization. We understand some of you are ready to go right now. Please reach out to your Client Success Manager or your Account Manager to learn more about when you can expect to begin the move!
How can I prepare ahead of time for the migration?
Great question! To help you, your residents, and CivicPlus to migrate your site most efficiently, you can begin by reviewing your site for outdated content and cleaning up old information. Check out Preparing Your Website For Migration for more details on how to best prepare.
How can I stay connected for updates?
We will be sending out monthly updates that include new information, webinars you and your teams can attend as well as other resources to help support this migration. Please contact your Account Manager or Client Success Manager to ensure your email is up to date and you haven’t unsubscribed from our updates.
