We are excited to announce the launch of updated product names, logos, and headers within our user interfaces as part of the CivicPlus® Solution Rebranding initiative. These changes mark the first step toward creating a cohesive and seamless user experience across all solutions in our portfolio. As part of this transition, users may notice minor design updates. While the functionality you rely on remains unchanged, we are in the process of updating screenshots and other resources on our Help Centers to reflect the new branding. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to complete these updates.

  • January 2024
    • Drupal 7 Migrations continue with former Municode sites; Preparation of CivicEngage Open Migrations underway
  • December 2023
    • Drupal 7 Migrations begin with former Municode sites
  • November 1, 2023
    • Drupal 9 sites were updated to Drupal 10
  • October 13, 2023
    • On target to upgrade our Drupal 9 software technology to Drupal 10 by Nov 1, 2023. Extensive testing on the CivicPlus end has been underway and looking good.
      Note: Due to the Drupal 9 end of life from Drupal, this is a large prerequisite required before being able to migrate customers off of Drupal 7 and onto the latest version of Web Open (which will now be Drupal 10).

  • August - November 2023

    • Upgrading all Drupal 9 Customers from CKEditor 4 to CKEditor 5 in preparation for Drupal migration to Drupal 10. Impact on CivicPlus development, but little impact on customers.

  • September 2023

    • Finishing up work on building Drupal 10 in preparation to upgrade all Drupal 9 customers to Drupal 10 before Drupal 9 End of Life November 1, 2023.

  • June - October 2023

    • Continuing to build Drupal 10, in preparation for Drupal 9 end of life on Nov 1, 2023.

  • June 7, 2023

    • DrupalCon, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – Product Announcements made:

      • End of Life for Drupal 7 is pushed back to January 5, 2025

      • Drupal 9 End of Life is November 1, 2023

  • 2022-2023

    • The development team is working on tooling to help more easily switch customers from Drupal 7 to Web Open (Drupal 10). Migrations will occur gradually over time.

  • March 2023

    • CivicPlus leadership meets in person with Acquia regarding Drupal 9 and 10 changes and planning for migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 and 10

  • September 2022

    • All new CivicPlus customers using the new Drupal 9 product

  • April - September 2022

    • A beta group of existing Drupal 7 customers provides feedback and testing of the new Drupal 9 Web Open product

  • 2021-2022

    • Collaborating closely with Acquia on plans and Building the Drupal 9 website version
