CivicPlus has put significant time, investment, and planning into preparing for the migration of Drupal 7 and Drupal 9 websites to the latest version of Drupal 10. We want to assure our customers that we have been working continuously to develop the best strategy and automation to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Key Dates to Remember
- Drupal 9 End of Life (EOL): November 1, 2023
- Drupal 7 End of Life (EOL): January 5, 2025
- CivicPlus is on top of these changes and has plans in place to get Drupal 7 and Drupal
9 customers over to Drupal 10.

For Customers Currently On Drupal 7
The transition from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 or 10 is a big leap and requires special migration work on our part. Existing customers who have a Drupal 7 website will be migrated to the Drupal 10 version.
Future Upgrades Will Be Backward Compatible!
The newer and future versions of Drupal will be backward compatible, and the updates will be just that- simple updates without all of the effort that had to go into the big transition from Drupal 7 over to Drupal 9 or 10.
